Vehicle Service Contract Questions, Answered

Short answers first, detail underneath. If you would rather just ask, call (701) 774-1010 or stop by 910 42nd Street West in Williston, ND.

Where can I buy a vehicle service contract in Williston, ND?

At Alpha Service Contract, 910 42nd Street West, Williston, ND 58801 — the vehicle service contract division of North Dakota Trucks LLC. Call (701) 774-1010.

We write contracts in person at our Williston office and by phone or online for drivers within about 100 miles, including Watford City, Tioga, Stanley, Crosby, New Town, Sidney MT and Culbertson MT.

Is there a waiting period before coverage starts?

No. Coverage is active from the date and mileage of purchase.

Many providers impose a 30-day or 1,000-mile wait. Alpha Service Contract contracts are day-one: if a covered part fails the week you enroll, the claim is eligible.

Which repair shops can I use?

Any ASE-certified repair shop or franchise dealership in the United States.

You are not locked into one location. Use your regular mechanic in Williston, a dealer in Minot or Billings, or whichever shop you reach on the road. The shop calls us for authorization before starting work.

Who pays the repair shop?

We pay the shop directly by corporate credit card. You pay only your deductible.

There is no reimbursement paperwork and no waiting on a check — the claim is settled between Alpha Service Contract and the repair facility.

What plans are available?

Three tiers: IntelliCare Premier (exclusionary), IntelliCare Advanced (stated component) and the A+ Program (high-mileage powertrain).

Premier covers everything that is not specifically excluded. Advanced lists major covered systems. A+ is built for older, higher-mileage trucks and cars that no longer qualify for the top tiers.

Is my older, high-mileage truck eligible?

Usually yes — the A+ Program is designed for high-mileage vehicles.

Eligibility depends on model year and current odometer reading. Enter your year, make, model and mileage in our eligibility filter and you will see the tiers you qualify for immediately.

Are EVs and hybrids covered?

Yes, with the EV & Hybrid Pack rider.

That rider covers the drive battery pack, charging modules, inverters and hybrid powertrain controllers — the components that make an EV repair expensive.

What is included besides mechanical repairs?

24/7 roadside assistance, rental car reimbursement and trip interruption coverage.

Roadside includes towing, jump-starts, flat tire changes, lockout service and emergency fuel or fluid delivery. Trip interruption covers lodging and meals when a covered breakdown happens more than 100 miles from home — worth knowing on the drive between Williston and Minot, Bismarck or Billings.

Can I transfer the contract if I sell the vehicle?

Yes. The policy is fully transferable to a private buyer.

A transferable contract is a real selling point on a used truck, because the next owner inherits the remaining protection.

Is a vehicle service contract the same as insurance?

No. Insurance covers collision and damage; a service contract covers mechanical and electrical breakdown.

The two do not overlap. You keep your auto insurance and add a service contract for parts and labor when something fails.

How much does coverage cost?

Price depends on vehicle year, make, model, mileage, tier and deductible — request a quote for an exact figure.

We do not publish a flat rate because a 2023 half-ton with 20,000 miles and a 2014 SUV with 160,000 miles are not comparable risks. Submit your VIN (or a photo of it) and we will price it the same business day.

How do I start a claim?

Do not file a claim on this website. Take your vehicle to any ASE-certified shop, hand your Alpha Service Contract paperwork to the service writer, and the shop will call us for authorization before repairs begin.

We do not accept claim submissions online or by email. The repair shop initiates the claim directly with Alpha Service Contract after diagnosing the issue. Use the 24/7 roadside number for towing if the vehicle will not move.

Still deciding?

Send us your VIN — or a photo of it — and we will quote your vehicle the same business day.
